Exchange 2000 and router
I changed my ISP and I connected new adsl modem/router Well PTI-845.
Everything was OK, internet on desktops and incoming mail was without
problems. But I was not able to send mail out of my domain. I tried to send a
post by telnet manually - it was ok. On remote SMTP server I noticed that in
log there is a mistake in comunnication with my Exchange 2000 server - data
time out. After several hours I tried to use another modem/router and
Exchange sent all post immediately out. Later I connected Well modem/router
again and changed MTU value but without success. Firewall was disabled. Have
you any idea where is a mistake?

If you are using the same ISP for the connection & it works fine with one
modem and not with the other, I suggest you contact the hardware
manufacturer for support.

Note that when you change ISPs, you should only be changing out their own
equipment (in this case, their provided DSL modem) - and you ought to have
your own firewall/router appliance between that modem and your LAN. This
means you won't have to change much at all if you change ISPs. ADSL is not
ideal for a business network - but even so, the ISP's hardware shouldn't be
doing NAT/filtering/anything at all; your own hardware should be controlling
that. Not sure if this is relevant to your situation or not, though.
