email redirection question
Hi,

I have this scenario I want to set up. I want emails from a particular
sender (unique) to go into my Exchange 2003 mailbox and also forward another
copy to my cell phone. I want to use Exchange to do this automatically. I
know this could be accomplished using Rules in my Outlook. However, I know
the rules only runs when I open my Outlook (to the best of my knowledge).
This defeats the purpose of sending the emails to my cell phone since those
are important server messages I want to see when I'm not using Outlook in
the office. Any ideas?

TIA

Tom

Re: email redirection question
I think you should be able to use Outlook server-based rules to auto-foward
the incoming messages. The client-based rules normally apply to filters -
like deleting incoming mail from a sender. in a situation like that you
would have to have outlook open because it would have to first be viewable
in the inbox and then sent to the deleted items folder.
