I have an exchange 2000 box that has been working for a long time. I removed some old users about six months ago, but periodically I still get notified in the admin mailbox that there was in "inbound mail failure" listing their addresses. I thought that if they are no longer in the active directory or exchange, they would automatically bounce back. I don't know if there is something wrong somewhere, and if so don't know where to look. Thanks
Create an Empty Distribution Lists called Deleted Users. Make sure there are no Members to this DL. Then on the E-Mail Addresses add the SMTP addresses for the ex employees. -- John Oliver, Jr. MCSE, MCT, CCNA, Exchange MVP Microsoft Certified Partner "Ed" wrote in message news:13CF39B3-8A75-446C-81EF-7A9E46CF85F9@microsoft.com... >I have an exchange 2000 box that has been working for a long time.
