Groupwise 6.0 --> Exchange 2003 migration issue - help appreciated
Dear all,

I'm currently planning for a Groupwise 6.0 to Exchange 2003 migration. I
have an Exchange 2003 SP2 box running as the production box. I have also
installed a bridgehead Exchange server that I'll be running the migration on
and which has the Groupwise connector on it.

I have configured the Groupwise connector and directory synchronisation from
Groupwise is running well (it has created all of the contacts within AD).

However when I run the migration wizard, it gives me the error "You have not
selected a valid Novell Groupwise Domain". I'm using exactly the same
Groupwise domain path that I used for the Groupwise <--> Exchange connector.
Is that the problem? Am I supposed to use a different format for the path
used in the migration wizard?

For example, for the connector configuration I have used the path of
\\(GW_SERVER)\VOL1\grpwise\(GW_DOMAIN)\wpgate\API
and that works fine.

For the migration wizard, I've tried many different variations but I believe
the path should be
\\(GW_SERVER)\VOL1\grpwise\(GW_DOMAIN)

but it does not work.

Could anyone offer some help please?

Thanks and Regards,

CR

The Migration Wizard must point to the GroupWise domain that contains the
post office with the users you'll be migrating. If your in a multiple domain
GroupWise environment type the domain that contains the PO and not the
parent domain.

Also make sure the GroupWise client is installed on the Exchange server and
is configured to connect to the PO you'll be migrating.

Re: Groupwise 6.0 --> Exchange 2003 migration issue - help appreci
Hi Fitz,

Thank you for the response. The wizard is pointed to the domain which hosts
the migration PO yet it still is not happy. It is a single (Groupwise) domain
environment, with two POs.

We also have the Groupwise client installed on the migration server, and it
can log in to Groupwise to read mail.

Although the link to 328743 does not work (KB article not available) I have
gone through the second article and can tick off each hint as done - although
I did have to install later versions of the Groupwise and NDS clients.

Thanks for the help thus far, but still no luck for me :(
