Receiving Event 1216, IS only at 12 GB
About a month ago my Information Store went over the 16 GB limit. I
immediately archived a bunch of old data and deleted it from the information
store. I then did an offline defragmentation of the IS. I removed over 5 GB
of data. My IS was at 11 GB. I still noticed the Event ID 1216, but it did
not have any affect on anything so I thought it was just a minor glitch.
This morning my end users reported problems getting into email. I discovered
that if my account, which is the original administrator account, was logged
in, the information store stops. If I stay out of Outlook it is fine. This
is the same thing that occurred when my IS went over the 16 GB limit last
month and it is still report the event ID 1216 when it starts up. How can I
force Exchange to realize the IS is not over the limit?
