I am receiving this in my event log: Information Store (5044) First Storage Group: Ending the backup of the file E:\exchsrvr\MDBDATA\PRIV.EDB. Not all data in the file has been read (read 2852388864 bytes out of 8103931904 bytes). Right after, I receive this: Information Store (5044) First Storage Group: The backup has been stopped because it was halted by the client or the connection with the client failed. Could someone please advise.
Is this a local backup or remote? Is it ntbackup, Veritas, Arcserve or what? Any other errors in the backup? Is this to disk or tape? Thanks for your reply. I am not backing anything up to tape or disk. Its' a maintenance process (Source ESE in event viewer) within System Manager that runs every morning at 12:00 a.m. The process performs an online defrag of the PUB.EDB, then backs it up. Next, it starts backing up the PRIV.EDB. This is where it stops and I receive Event ID 215 then 222.
