I get EDB files corrupt out over time and the edb stops responding normally, and even though I run eseutil and isinteg. I get the files to report in good shape, and are even defragged. I eventually have the mailboxes that start to do wierd things like, when The messaging interface has returned an unkown error, this is when I want to Look for: search for emails by subject. If the problem persists, restart Outlook. Of course it works perfectly on a localized pst file.
Can you give more details like any errors you get? I've only seen this once and it was traced to duff hard disks that were tracked through the event log.
