Recover Exchange 2000
I have Exchange 2000 installed on Windows 2000 DC with SVCpk4. The server
crashed due to hardware failure. My plan is join the server with a same name
to the exisiting domain. Since I have another DC. I have done two types of
backup for Exchange 2000. Backup agent for Exchange and regular file copy of
the mdbdata folder.

My question is if i created the stores and database with same name and copy
the file backup will the Exchange server start working fine.

Thanks...

Re: Recover Exchange 2000
Hi,

Your best option would be to install exchange on the new server with the
/disasterrecovery switch and then perform a restore of the information
store.

If the other backups are offline backups of the mdbdata folder that should
work as well.
