Separate Exchange server for mailbox and Exchange server for public folder
My situation

One organization, one site. Two server Exchange 2000 SP3

a) First server Exchange (001) that hosts all the user mailbox
b) Additional server Exchange (002) that hosts public folder

From Outlook client user could access to All public folders fine

Last week I had to replace the First Exchange server introducing a new box
(003).
I have setup the new server adding into existent organization.
I have created a new mailbox text into 003. User has gone into the GAL. It
could send/receive e-mail. It could see public folder hierarchy and
messages.

Now the problem

I have moved a first mailbox from 001 to 003. Outlook profile has switched
almost automatically since the two servers are both online. User moved could
see the public folder hierarcy, but the public folders (the ones he could
see as permission) are empty. If he tries to write a message into the public
folder it has not seen by the others users with its mailbox homed in 001. I
suspect it was written in another place.

Note that I need no any replica of public folders because the 002 servewr
doesn't change

In the mailbox store properties Default public store:

001 ---> 001
003 ---> 003

Any tips ?

Thanks

Sergio
