phenomenales Problem mit dem SMTP port
Hallo Leute,

Gruss
Thomas

Problem with DSL and NDR's
My client has relocated his small office (5 Users) into a home in a
residental area from a small industrial area.

It appears that during periods of inactivity, the DSL line is dropped and
there is sometimes a delay in re-connecting to the ISP and the Internet.

I believe this is the cause of the NDR's from the server.

Since this was never a problem before, and I've never had to deal with it
before, i need help.

What settings do I need to adjust to the number of retries Exchange does
before sending an NDR and how to set Echange to try and try again for the
internet connection.

I hope I have explained this well,

Thanks

Re: Problem with DSL and NDR's
Hi,
you can try to configure the router to keep the DSL (not 'on demand'): maybe
this is the problem

However you can modify the SMTP virtual server properties and the SMTP
connector properties
(you will find tabs about retries, time to wait..)

I hope this is useful

Re: Problem with DSL and NDR's
Thanks for your input.
I didn't even think about the router idea.
