Delivery Status Notification (Relay)
I have an outside client who is trying to send emails to us, but they never
get delivered to the recipients. The senders IT consultant said they were
getting the following Delivery Status Notification:
From: postmaster@waxferraro.com [mailto:postmaster@waxferraro.com]
Sent: Friday, February 29, 2008 2:33 PM
To: ray
Subject: Delivery Status Notification (Relay)

This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.

Your message has been successfully relayed to the following recipients,
but the requested delivery status notifications may not be generated by
the destination.

       user@mycompany.com

We have recieved from them in the past successfully. We can email them. I'm
at a loss as to how to proceed in this instance. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Re: Delivery Status Notification (Relay)
Have you tried tracking the sender via Exchange message tracking, they
should however receive a NDR if it never got delivered

Re: Delivery Status Notification (Relay)
TEB,

Thanks for the quick reply!
No I haven't. Would I do it from my end? And how would I initiate the
tracking? I've never used Exchange Message Tracking.

Re: Delivery Status Notification (Relay)
Yes you would do it on your end, once enabled you can see if the message is
hitting your Exchange and if so where it is going, here is a link on how to
enable it
