Event ID 8331 on Server 2000
My Event Log has today started showing this ID with the description "The
service threw an unexpected exception which was caught at
y:\src\lra\abv_dg\lservagent.cpp (4664)" - the source is MSExchangeAL.

I have investigated this (ie Google'd it) but the only remedy, and fix, I
can find relates to Exchange 2003.

How can I resolve this problem for our 2000 server?

RE: Event ID 8331 on Server 2000
I had the same thing begin recently, though I had made several changes on the
server. I had enabled the pop3 connector for several mailboxes, added a
forward to one of those mailboxes, and had changed a user name. The problem
turned out to be the user name. I changed the external (default) SMTP
address, but I didn't change anything with the internal smtp address. I
added an additional internal address, which seems to have worked. I haven't
had the error in days, which prior, filled my log file quite quickly. I'll
be removing the old internal address.
