Hi There... im hoping someone can help me. We have an exchange server running in one subnet and my AD/DC's in another (the exchange is sat in a DMZ) We had an issue today where we had a corruption in the AD partition on my first DC and it meant that we couldnt log into exchange even though we had two other AD controllers in the domain.that wetre operational. I suspect that as all the DC's are in a separate subnet to my Exchange and SQL servers, the auto-discover of AD servers wont work, so is there a way a manually add servers on the exchange servers DSAccess list so if we lose that one server again, it can use an alternative to authenticate and allow mailbox access? Thanks in advance Simon
Hi, You can do that on the DSA access tab on the properties of the exchange server in ESM if there is enough connectivity in the firewall to allow this - it is not best practice to have an exchange server located in a DMZ - too many ports needs to be opened.
