Hello, I have a very strange problem on a Exchange 2007 server: I configured custom receive connectors with the specified rights I need. I have a CDO Script, which sends mail via authenticated SMTP. The error is the same with basic and integrated authentication. If I want to send a mail from the builtin domain admin account, an error is thrown. Even if I copy the groupmemberships of the administrator to another user it works for that new user. So where the deny, which rejects the builtin admin account to send mails???? THanks Alex Event Type: Warning Event Source: MSExchangeTransport Event Category: SmtpReceive Event ID: 1020 Date: 16.10.2007 Time: 09:55:31 User: N/A Computer: Server Description: The account 'Domain\Administrator' provided valid credentials, but is not authorized to use the server; failing authentication. Hi - this is an Exchange 2000 group. I suspect that few people will see this post, so you should post in microsoft.public.exchange.admin. (MS is moving away from version-specific groups for server products - so make sure you always include your versions & SP levels of everything when posting in server newsgroups).
