Email Store will not mount
Crossposted in Exchange2000.information.store

We had our exchange all of a sudden freeze on
us. On reboot, the store would not mount and gave the error, "An internal
processing error has occurred. Try restarting the Exchange System Manager
or the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service, or both. ID no:
c1041724" I did both, no luck. I ran the Eseutil in D/R/MH/G and all come
up clean and defragmented. All services startup with no issues, but cannot
mount the store. Directory permissions are correct. There is one log file,
E00.log in the directory and probably that is the issue we are running into.
Additionally we are getting this error - Initialization of Jet Failed. The
KB articles regarding this on MS are not available (9518 errors) and I am
stuck. The system is looking for a E00002F0.log file, but there is no such
file.

Help me Obi Wan! Your my only hope!

Re: Email Store will not mount
There is 10GB of drive space available, not a problem.

Took out the server AV a week prior to this occurring.

Re: Email Store will not mount
No knowing your entire environment it may be best to restore from backup at
this point. The restore should get you back up an running fairly quickly.
As it stands now, you can continue to troubleshoot with no guarantee you
will find a fix in a timely manner. A restore will get you gaurantee back
up and running. Another option would be to call Microsoft PSS if you are
not wanting to restore at this point.

Re: Email Store will not mount
Here is where we have another problem, the backup solution crashed prior to
this happening. There is no "backup". The edb's are fine, that is not the
problem. The problem is the Jet database is not
initializing. If there was something wrong with the EDB's, the services
would not start and after running diags, something would be wrong. It is so
far as we had the POP3 connector running and it pulled the
email from a remote location and put it into the information stores, but not
mount. Don't ask me about that one. Let us just say there is nothing wrong
with the information store, why isn't the Jet Database initializing, and it
is apparently looking for a log file that doesn't exist at this moment..

Re: Email Store will not mount
I get that Isinteg cannot initiate verification process.
The error log says "error current log file missing" with a 9518 error.
