Exchange 2000 forwarding problem
Hi all guys, i have a problem in a Windows2000/Exchange2000 architecture

if i setup an external contact object in AD that i want to use for
automatic forwarding of all email of a AD user to that external address,
all emails sent from internal addresses ar correctly forwarded, the ones
arrived from external addresses are not forwarded.

This is true for every contact i create and for every user of AD with
mailbox.

Any suggestion to solve this problem?

thank you

In ESM, Global Settings, Internet Message Format, Advanced there are a
load of ticks. It's been a while but there are ticks about allowing
automatic replies etc.
Are they, or any ticks, ticked?

There were 3 checkbox regarti auto-forward, aout ouoofoffice and
autorespond, unchecked. I tryed to check them but the forwarding of
external mails to the contact doesn't started to work

If you're using the delivery options in ADUC to forward the mailbox mail to
an AD contact, you don't need to enable autoforward/auto-anything in ESM
(and you shouldn't). Can you send an email to the AD contact directly, from
a mailbox on your domain?

if i send internally a mail to the AD mailbox that is forwarding to the
contact it works correctly. The problem is only when emails arrive from
external addresses.

I meant to the AD contact, directly (not the mailbox)....try that.
