Re: Attachments being filtered
Yes it does, we use TrendMicro OfficeScan on all clients as well as Scanmail
for Exchange on the server. Both would give warning if they deemed the
attachments had issues. The issue can be repeated by logging into that mail
box from any client. One theory I had was it being language related as the
senders are French Canadian and use a French locale. However, we receive
email from other French sources without issue. Also note that email from
that source to any other recipient in our organization will retain the
attachments.
I can think of only two possibilities. Either there is some server side
setting invloved (and I can't think of any) or that particular mail box on
the server is somehow corrupted... Both options just don't sit well with me,
though.

Re: Attachments being filtered
I would try recreating the users mailbox since it will not take that long to
do. Export the users mailbox to pst file then delete the mailbox. After
purging the mailbox in ESM, recreate the users mailbox. Now see if the user
can receive attachments.

Re: Attachments being filtered
Thank you for the reply. I have one more step I can test first. I am going
to move the SMTP address to a different mail box and see what happens. I
think you are right, though. I am expecting to have to rebuild the mailbox.

Re: Attachments being filtered
I have seen some strange issues with mailboxes before and most of the time
its just easier to recreate the mailbox. 99% of the time this has resolved
the issue.

Re: Attachments being filtered
I tried your suggestion and re-created the mailbox. It didn't change
anything. This is just getting wierder. The problem is now occuring for 3
different recipients getting email attachments from 4 different domains. I
am only testing with one currently, the one I rebuilt the mailbox for. This
mailbox has some alternate SMTP addresses. If the senders uses an alternate
SMTP address the attachments come through just fine.
I cannot explain it.
