Hello, We're in a mixed mode Exchange 5.5/2003 Environment (in the middle of migration). Can someone tell me what the big differences are or what really takes place for both of these options? Deleting a Mailbox versus Removing Exchange Attributes We have the ADC up and running but we're simply trying to learn when we should choose one option over the other? Also trying to find a detailed technical explanation about the two. Thanks
the net result is pretty much the same, if there was actually a mailbox...it gets deleted...but sometimes, an account can pick up Exchange attributes even if a mailbox was never explicitly configured...I've seen that happen when a new account is configured by "copying" or cloning an existing account...if you have deleted mailbox retention configured, you can always reconnect the mailbox to a new (or the correct) account after the mailbox cleanup has been run... -- Susan Conkey [MVP] "msadexchman" wrote in message news:eE2iFpPeGHA.1792@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... > Hello, > > We're in a mixed mode Exchange 5.5/2003 Environment (in the middle of > migration).
