Removing First server in site
I currently have an all EX2K org. Shortly I will be upgrading Exchange to
W2K3 on all new h/w. I will be upgrading the domain to W2K3/EX2K3 then
installing all new EX2K3 servers, moving the mailboxes across and then
decommissioning the old EX2K servers. I am aware of the requirement to
replace the first server in site roles, but am a little confused as to to
which KB article to follow.
There is one for "How to remove the first Exchange Server 2000 computer from
the site" and another "How to remove the first Exchange Server 2003 computer
from the administrative group"
The old server is EX2K but the new "first server" will be EX2K3, so which
should I follow?

Thanks,

Gee

"How to remove the first Exchange Server 2000 computer from
the site"
Because the box you're getting rid of is the 2000 box.
