Move Server on Different Box   

I want to move my Exchange Server to different machine(hardware is changed). 
My existing exchange server installed on DC (only dc in forest).

best thing to do would be to bring up a new Exchange server, and move all
mailboxes, public folders, connectors, etc. to the new server...then see
this:

I have Exchange 2000 Server & article talking about Exchange Server 2003. Is 
this applicable on Exchange 2000 Server?
