Cached mode failes in outlook 2003 on exchange 2003
On friday this was working fine...

now today it, when you start up exchange, says "Cannot start microsoft
office outlook. unsable to open the outlook window. the set of folders could
not be opened. the server is not available. contact yor administrator if
this condition presists.", however, if you turn off cached mode, it
works!... what in the world could of happened? it was working friday in
cached mode, which we kind of need because we also use outlook over Aircards
(cellular internet connections) which are not fast and cached helps speed a
LOT... thanks!

Is this just on a single computer? Its possible the OST file could have
become corrupted. Are you getting the same warning when you plug your
laptops directly onto the lan without the Aircards?

Re: Cached mode failes in outlook 2003 on exchange 2003
btw this same error shows up over RPC, Direct network connection, and over
wireless network cards over Verizon... all same error... still can't fix it,
however its only in outlook 2003, in outlook xp no problems (dont know if
RPC works in outlook XP but at least the network connected outlook doesnt
give the error)
