Re: Sched. Backup Will Not Start
Thank you for coming to my rescue.
The last and only backup was on 2/16/06 according to scheduled tasks.
On that date there are Event ID: 8001 and 8009 shown in the application log.
Nothing since. It is as if the backup ran once (the initial backup) and
simply did not run after that.
The backup is in the Scheduled Tasks. The listings say, Name, Schedule,
Next Run Time, Last Run Time (2/16/06 10:45PM), Status (could not start),
Last Result 0x0.
The backup seems to be configured properly and the destination is correct.
It simply won't start for some reason I don't understand.

Re: Sched. Backup Will Not Start
Hi Susan:
The problem has been solved by another guy in my department. The key was
the date 2/16. That was the date of a password change. The scheduled backup
would not run after that date unless it had the new password. I completely
missed it and was looking for a more involved answer. The other guy entered
the new password and the backup ran last night.
Thank you for working with me on this problem. Hope you help me on future
posts.

Re: Sched. Backup Will Not Start
I suspected as much...maybe you can set the account that the backup is
running under so that it's password does not expire...
