User name change
What is the best way to address a user changing their name? I am running a
Windows 2000 Active Directory domain with Exchange 2000. I have two users
recently married and want their names changed on the network. I am aware of
how to rename the accounts, but will mail sent to the old address be rejected
if that is done?

Thanks in advance!

Re: User name change
Good question, make sure that old email address is a Secondary SMTP address
in ADUC under user properties-email addresses. The Primary SMTP address
should reflect the new name. This all assumes the name before the @ needs
change at all. For example, if the users email is by first name before the @
then no changes are necessary. Once the Primary SMTP address is updated,
all outgoing email will be stamped with new address. After about a month
or so, I would go ahead and remove the Secondary address.
