email address to display name resolution
Hello,
we recently upgraded our exchange server 5.5 -> 2003 (not exactly
upgrade - it was new installation).

While we were using old exchange server 5.5 we were able to put custom
recipients into exchange directory and when email was received with
address of one of these recipients, it was displayed with its
displayname in outlook. Using this feature we were for example able to
recognize company which sent fax (faxnumber was resolved to display name).

Now with Exchange 2003 we are not able to do this. Creating contacts in
pulbic folder doesn't help, contacts in active directore doesn't work as
well, it looks like resolution works only for local mailboxes. (which
sometimes does more problems, ie. if you receive multiple email
addresses to one mailbox and you wanna know to which address it was sent).

So my question: Is there a way to resolve an address to some displayname
if it's not local mailbox, just contact? We exactly need to resolve
sender's address to some display name.

Thank you, Honza Novak
