Why do different domains cause logon fail ? Exchange Servers.
The messaging/mail archiving solution we have is facing some new challenges
for the client after they added the multiple domains from the recent
acquisitions.

Using Exchange Servers, now this company has multiple domains, one domain
hosts the Active Directory for authentication, and other domains host the
actual mailboxes, our method to logon to the mailbox fails. We assumed
sending username/passwd directly to the Exchange Server where the mailbox
resides should just work, but it doesn't. What do we need to do to access to
the mailbox in this environment?
We use IMAP/Pop3/WebDAV protocols to access Exchange mailboxes.
