Exchange 2003/VB6 Interaction
Hello all,

I have a couple of Visual Basic 6 programs that interact with GroupWise
in order to send e-mail, set personal appointments, and search
calendars for appointments. The company I work for is getting rid of
GroupWise in favor of Microsoft Exchange 2003 and WebMail. I need to
update my code and am hoping someone can direct me toward the right
tool.

I don't have an Outlook client to interact with, so my easiest option
isn't there. Also, I don't want to create a server app for the
Exchange server. (I'm not a part of the IT group maintaining the
server and I can't believe they would let me put anything like that on
their machine.) Would it be better to use MAPI, CDO, SMTP, or the
Exchange SDK to accomplish the calendar tasks? I know I can do the
e-mail with any of them.

It would be the cat's pajamas if I could also search the Exchange
address book for e-mail addresses. I'm not doing that with GroupWise
now, though, so its not a requirement.

Thanks in advance,
Robin
