How does Exchange know which connector to use
Under Exchange 2000, there are more than more connectors.
Exe, x400 connector to ip1 Exchange MTA
x400 connector to ip2 Exchange MTA
       SMTP connector Exchagne MTA

When a message is send to a user or contact. How does exchange know which
connector to queue.

Exchange evaluates the routing using the information on the
connector's Address Space property page.

I believe it finds the best (most fully qualified) route that matches
the recipient address, and for multiple matching routes it uses the
least cost one, and where the cost is equal, I suspect it tries to
balance the load between them.
