To sum up what might be a long winded explaination my problem is: When I try to start the Exchange System Manager administrative tool, I am receiving an error message that is The server is not operational. Facility: Win32 ID No: 8007203a Exchange System Manager I am also experience difficulties if I try to open the Active Directory Users and Computers ADUC. When I try to open the Active Directory Users and Computers ADUC (Exchange), I am receiving an error message that is The naming information cannot be located because the server is not operational. The details which might have some clues: Currently we have 2 windows 2003 sp1 DCs. One DC holds all the FSMO roles along with global catalogs and the other on is also a global catalog server (ADC). A third machine is a member server housing exchange. All machines are as patched as windows update allows. I found out to do some settings with DNS but that was not working well for me. Moreover, when I try to add member server to the domain it is not connecting with my NETBIOS domainname, instead, when I providing the domain name as domainname.com then it is prompting for user name and password and could able to join the member server in the domain. Thanks in advance, hopefully I didnt leave out too many details!
