Exchange IP address question
I have a Exchange 2000 server. It was setup with our old internet service and
Cisco Router. Last week, we got a new internet service, and a new Cisco
Router.

I had a Cisco guy program the router, then we changed our DNS to update the
records. Everything seemed to work fine. Incoming mail is working fine.
Outgoing mail is a little bit weird. Here is whats happening:

(These IP addresses are used hypothetically)

We are using the IP address on the outside of 155.225.38.4 and the dns is
setup for mail.myserver.com. I can verify it is setup correctly by doing a
NSLOOKUP anywhere.

But, when I SEND mail, it is delivered with the IP address of 155.225.38.3,
which is the IP address of my router.

Is this a misconfiguration on our router? I don't see anything in Exchange
that points to the external IP address.

At this point, I am sending mails, but some may be confused as spam, if they
are doing a reverse lookup. Please help!

Re: Exchange IP address question
Hi,

Could be that SMTP filtering on the cisco router is enabled?
