Setting up primary and secondary STMP servers...
Hi Folks,

I hope this message is for the right newsgroup. Please let me know
if not.

My objective is to setup two mail servers, one being the primary
and the other secondary so that if one or the other dies, at least
one will be acting on behalf of the other until it is restored. Note,
that in this case, each server is a primary for domain "A" as well
as a secondary for domain "B" where on each server, the primary
domain adddress is not the same.

I have two different OS's, one is a linux box with 'sendmail' and the
other is a MS box with 'exchange'. I have the linux box setup so it
is ready to go, but I do not have the exchange server setup since I
have not found any FAQ's or guides anywhere that will allow me to
setup exchange to accept a secondary domain name address and
have all email addresses with a filter of selected/qualified usernames
to be routed to a single mailbox within itself. If I have to setup mailbox
aliases or even create real accounts, then I will consider it if there are
no
other alternatives to avoid it. Of course, I could setup another linux
box and be done with it if need be, but I would rather use my exchange
box if at all possible.

Can anyone give me any pointers, references, links, suggestions on how
this might be done?

Thanks,
Dan Thurman
