Cluster reg keys not restored after node recovery
Hi,

I have just had to rebuild a node in a 2-node cluster after several disks in
the raid array failed. We had to completely re-initialise the system,.
I installed w2k and then restored the system drive and system state from a
recent backup using backup exec 8.6.
When the system rebooted there was a problem with the network config which
had not been restored and also the cluster service would not start.
I reconfigured the network card/ip address etc but found that the cluster
reg keys under hklm had not been recovered even though the registry had been
restored.
I do not really understand why this should be.
Any comments or pointers would be much appreciated.

Re: Cluster reg keys not restored after node recovery
Sounds like your backup software did not restore properly. Have you tried
restoring the system state to the broken node(s)? Did you try one node at a
time? What errors do you get in the event log?

Cheers,

Rod
