Moving to new SAN
I have an Exch2000 cluster which I am moving all the data from an old SAN to
a new one. I've managed to move everything except one folder, the
ExchangeServer_<servername> Folder.
I can't find any doco on how to move this properly. It is used for search
and full text indexing which I don't use, however the files do update
themselves periodically so I'm wondering the correct way to move them?

After lack of finding an answer I resorted doing a find/replace in the
Registry. Dodgy as all hell and I don't recommend it but it worked :)

Re: Moving to new SAN
That is great that you are working, for now. What about the long term affect
of the hacking? Or if you have to call support? Did you test failover? I
have seen things like this come back to haunt you, time and time again. I
would recommend, at your earliest convenience, to migrate to a fresh install
:) Movemail is your friend.

Cheers,

Rod

Re: Moving to new SAN
Maybe you should re-read his post you goof. he said 'due to a lack of
response' he had to figure it out himself. So instead of critizing his
method you could have provided some feedback on the correct way to tackle his
problem.

Re: Moving to new SAN
Actually, you might need to go back and read the post yourself since he
stated, "After lack of finding an answer" rather than, "due to a lack of
response." After reading the post, it appears to me that Rod did provide
feedback on the correct way to tackle the problem..."I would recommend, at
your earliest convenience, to migrate to a fresh install :) Movemail is your
friend."

Regards,
John
