Calendar appointments listed 7 hours ahead
I am running Exchange 2000 in a 2-node Active/Passive cluster and
front-end/back-end configuration. When I access my mailbox via OWA on the
front-end and I schedule an appointment, the appointment item is scheduled 7
hours ahead of the actual time - e.g. if I schedule an appointment from 8-9
pm, the appointment appears on the 3-4 pm time-slot. However, when I open the
actual appointment, the start time and end time are correct.

The same problem happens when I use OWA to the back-end server. However, I
have another Exchange 2000 server that has 1 mailbox. This problem does not
happen when I use OWA to access this mailbox and schedule appointments.

Will appreciate some help. Thank you.

Hi,

This would normally indicate a problem with the timezone the server is
configured to be in. Is this configured as desired?

Yes. Both nodes are configured with the SAME time zone. The time zone on BOTH
nodes is (GMT -08:00 Pacific Time (US & Canada); Tijuana.

Re: Calendar appointments listed 7 hours ahead
Times in messages and appointements are client issues, not server. So look
in the client.

Since you are using OWA, I think that there might be an inhiertance from the
client, but no matter what, just go to the configuration page for OWA and
set the timezone there.

The 7 hour time difference is telling me that something is set for UTC. Make
sure that you always look at the time AND the timezone on every box in your
chain of servers.

Re: Calendar appointments listed 7 hours ahead
This time problem happens when I an running E2K on node 1. However, if I fail
ouver to node 2, the problem does not happen. Are there any properties in the
IIS 5.0 metabase that has to do with time?
