owa wont let one of my users log in
Hi there,

I have exchange server 2003 and all of my users can log onto OWA and access
their emails however there is one user that cant. When they attempt to log
in they get a msg:

"You could not be logged on to Web Access. Ensure that your user name and
password are correct, and then try again".

I know for a fact that the passwords are correct and that permissions are
the same as everyone elses. I've reset the password in admin tools etc, to
no avail. Any ideas ?

thanks
Mike

Confirm it isn't a browser issue - get someone else to OWA in on that actual
computer. Get user to login from another computer to confirm they cannot
access on more than one PC.

This will then rule out PC problems.

Now change their password to something 8 characters or less and A-Z and
numeric only. See if that cures the problem.

Does the problem occur on the LAN or externally?

Hi there Nick,

I've tried all of what you have suggested to no avail. Can not access from
any PC so it rules out a browser problem. I've changed the password as well
all to no avail. Its really quite strange. Im also using windows sbs2003
premium which might help to shed some light on the situation.

regards
Mike

OK, so it is an account problem. You tried this internally and externally?
Other users can access OWA on the PC that fails for this user?

Right, check groups. People who work against this one that doesn't.

Re: owa wont let one of my users log in
Hi All

I seem to be having the same problem - all users are working fine on OWA
apart from the one user I created. The user is in the same Group as all other
users.

I have cleared browser cache\Reset Passwords\Checked Groups\disabled and
re-inabled OWA but nothing is happening.

Setup is SBS 2003 SP1

Anything further on this would be most helpfull

Karl
