I have a user that we are trying to setup an IMAP connection in outlook express for his email. Whenever we try to connect to the address we get an error that the server does not accept our credentials. He is the only person in the company whose alias does not match the username for the email. In example, John Doeflergughan's alias would generally be jdoeflergughan and email jdoeflergughan@company.com. In our instance, however, we have jdoe for an alias and jdoeflergughan@company.com for an e-mail address. In the account setup we were asked for his username, so we entered "jdoe". We also entered in his full email address when asked for his email address. This did not work so we tried all possible combinations for username (jdoe@company.com, jdoeflergughan, jdoeflergughan@company.com, company/jdoe). Nothing works. Any ideas?
