Outlook 2003 and Securing Public Folders
All,

We have Outlook 2003 and Exchange 2000 with about 100 clients. We have
quite a few public folders that have been setup. Does anyone know if there
is a way to secure the folder so no one can delete it but can delete the
items within the public folder. The reason being is someone keeps going to
delete an item from it but the delete the folder instead.

Thank you in advance

Change their permissions. It's usually easier to set permissions via a
group, rather than individual users. You can set this in Outlook if you're
the owner, or in Exchange System Manager. Only a folder owner can delete a
folder....the permissions are fairly granular, so take a look at the options
in the folder properties and see what you want them to have.
