someone in our office sent out an email to about 97 different people listing them all in the TO: line. The email started to send itself over and over to these 97 people and has continued to do so for about 2 weeks now. The one thing we noticed is that as the mail returns this is an added line at the end of the email addresses and it is IMB Recipient 1. If you mouse over this IMB Recipient 1 it shows pop3connector- one of the emails listed in the two line. I have looked all over and find things talking about the IMB Recipient 1 but nothing suggesting a solution to this problem. We have done an off line defrag of the database, and no one else is having problems. We have removed all the Badmail, we have done many virus and spyware scans, and everything looks fine , but it is still sending this email out. Can anyone suggest a remedy....tensions are getting high with this repeatedly being sent and we are concerned about black listing. Please advise! We are running windows 2000 and exchange 2000, the outlook clients are windows 2000 with office xp.

But I have Outlook Express, not Small Business Server 2003 for which there is a patch for this nonsense, but I guess that won't work for Outlook Express. It is getting worse, tonight for the first time it happened with 3 messages, all going out at least 12 times each...people are furious and blocking my email address. HELP!!! There must be something to stop this madness... This is driving me crazy luckyshow@mindspring.com -- luckyshow ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Posted via http://www.mcse.ms ------------------------------------------------------------------------ View this thread: http://www.mcse.ms/message1698869.html
