The app event log on our Exchange 2003 server is registering event 9661, with the following description: The Unsolicited Commercial Email default filter level has been updated. The new value is 8. The problem that we have with this is that we haven't installed the Intelligent Message Filter on our server, and these events should only be generated when the IMF is installed. Any idea where these are coming from?
Why do you think its IMF and not some other anti-spam software you have installed? What is the source of this event (just copy/paste the entire event text) cheers, Alexander Zammit Software Development Consultant ExchangeInbox.com MS Exchange resource site http://www.exchangeinbox.com/ "Keith W" wrote in message news:l1aqk1p924v2mq8uf13vp11ls1lh79a164@4ax.com... > The app event log on our Exchange 2003 server is registering event > 9661, with the following description: > > The Unsolicited Commercial Email default filter level has been > updated. How many Exchange serves do you have within the organization? The IMF settings are global and visible to all servers. So I am wondering if this might have been caused by the installation of IMF on some other server. Otherwise are you using some other server-side anti-spam filtering product?
