exchange 2000 Backup API problem   

Hi There;
Iam writing a backup app for exchange 2000. The exchange backup API
ESEBackupRead sometimes(mostly) never returns when backing up the patch
files for the databases.

Going down i could see that the thread was waiting for some object as
the last call was KeWaitForSingleObject.

Any Suggestion would help
