public folder - incorrect count of unread messages
System:
Exchange 2000, Outlook 2000, public folder

problem:
In Outlook the count of the unread (new) messages is incorrect for one user
in the Outlook list for a public folder. At present the first new message is
not indicated - the counting begins with the 2nd new message with 1st -
whereby this is completely independent of the unread message, i.e. I can mark
any messages as unread and the announcement effected nevertheless only with
the second marked message. Occasionally even the first 2 new messages were
not indicated.

Further information:
After different attempts it lets itself state that this phenomenon concerns
only this user and this one public folder. The user has access to a further
public folder, where the announcement is correct. Also with other users, who
have access to the mentioned public folder, the count is correct. The problem
is not PC dependent also. Another user at the same computer receives the
correct count, whereas the user mentioned at another PC received the same
incorrect announcement of the unread messages.

Question:
What can i do that Outlook represents the number of unread messages again
correctly?

The usual way is to right-click the folder and Mark All As Read. That
resets the count.

Re: public folder - incorrect count of unread messages
Thanks for the answer, but the 1st I done was to mark All As Read and All As
Unread.

It doesn't works. The 1st incoming message is not indicated as new or unread
in the count and if I mark messages manually As Unread it's all the same what
message I mark.
