Here's my problem, I need to restore the mailboxed only up until E0000171. I am unable to for some reason. I replaced the data files and the log files but I can't get the database to stop the restore process ate E0000171. Instead it restores the logs completely. Any suggestions or somewhere to go to to find the solution? I was wondering if there is a way to restore all the mailboxes with only the log files. For instance: I had to reinstall Exchange 2000. I didn't have a backup using a backup software like Windows Backup. I have saved all the log files (E0000001.log - E00000186.log; including E00.log). Is it possible to recreate the database and all the messages from E0000001.log to say E0000161.log? At this point I'm going to suggest you look at a 3rd party product. Such as Quest Recovery Manager or OnTrack Power Controls. Either that or call MS PSS.
