backup fails because of Exchange store
I have suddenly been having my scheduled backups failed. The core of the
error seems to be here:
The 'Microsoft Information Store' returned 'Error returned from an ESE
function call (d).' from a call to 'HrESEBackupRead()' additional data '-'
The Event Log shows a 217 error, with the Description:
Information Store (2628) First Storage Group: Error (-4001) during backup of
a database (file D:\Data\Exchsrvr\MDBDATA\priv1.edb) The database will be
unable to restore.
This started happening after I had needed to do an offline defrag of my
Exchange private store after it hit the 16G limit.
