Exchange 2000 DST 2007 CDO patch options
Everything I'm reading says I have to install a CDO patch for Exchange for
the DST change I'm understanding that this needs to be done before applying
other Outlook or Exchange patches.

I'm supposed to contact my Microsoft Technical Account Mgr for assistance
(at a cost). Since I have never heard of this person, I'm on my own.

Has anyone found a patch they can share that doesn't cost?

Perhaps a better question is - do I care?

If my OWA users do not schedule meetings, maybe just a few personal
appointments, do I care and need to do anything?

The bulk of my user base is Outlook 2000 - 2003. If these people schedule
meetings, then check remotely via OWA, am I correct the only issues would be
during the new/old DST change periods?

Is the CDO patch against my OWA server so I don't need to worry about the
client needing a CDO patch?

Thanks for any help - Dale

You can thank Microsoft for leaving you high and dry.

EXCHANGE2000-KB928225x86-ENU.exe Re: Exchange 2000 DST 2007 CDO patch options
Hi Dale,

FINALLY, I downloaded the Exchange 2000 hotfix for Exchange 2000 DST update.
I downloaded from BitTorrent, checked that the Microsoft signature
verification is OK.

Better to test in LAB on the Exchange 2000 server, HOWEVER, I am not daring
to
install on our Exchange 2000 production server.

It calls "EXCHANGE2000-KB928225-x86-ENU.exe"

You want it ? I can share it with you by my FTP URL. Just let me know

Re: EXCHANGE2000-KB928225x86-ENU.exe Re: Exchange 2000 DST 2007 CDO patch options
Hi all,

Dale, :) no problem, I downloaded, but leaving my downloaded copy in active
so other like you & me can download in
desperate search. Well, I reported to our directors that we need to spend
money if we want to have Exch2K CDO fix,
however, I hesitate to install this patch on our production server. The
digital signature seems to be very fine, appearing from
Microsoft digital signature. I installed it in the LAB, no problem at all.
But...

Let me know what your testing result is,,!!

Anyway, anyone just have this tip as your desperate search is over for
Exch2K CDO fix now :), BITTORRENT TO GO :)
God helps us all but Microsoft :)

Re: EXCHANGE2000-KB928225x86-ENU.exe Re: Exchange 2000 DST 2007 CDO patch options
I think we are going to skip the patch. I have not test Exchange server so
doing it live is a bit unsettling.

I'm not sure I see much of a downside except for bogus info for Webmail
users during the few week window.

Either are we :). We also sent out notice to our OWA users and MS outlook
about this issue.
Well, start planning for Exch2K3 now :)

Good luck for all

I would like the link to get this patch, please.

Re: EXCHANGE2000-KB928225x86-ENU.exe Re: Exchange 2000 DST 2007 CDO patch options
I did a Google search and got this link as about the only reference.

http://www.torrentz.com/577dc73d3982a1badaba4f22aad6b7a3da0e2e17

If you check out the torrent links, it's the usual stuff. If you are at
work, you may want to wait until the office is empty. You know the ads
these sites can have !!

It's pretty suspect to me which is why I'm not going to load it.

Good luck - Dale
