I am preparing for an Ex2007 install into my environment. I ran the ExBPA tool and it advised that an Active Directory Connector was found and must be decommissioned before 2007 can be installed. I have some questions regarding this connector: 1) I recall installing the ADC several years ago for an ex 5.5 to 2000 migration. After that process was complete the ADC was removed for the old 5.5 server, but this ADC remained. Is it not required for Exchange 2000 to function properly with AD? 2) Is decommissioning this connector as simple as deleting it withing the AS sites and services console? 3)Can this be done safely within a live environment without any negative impact? Thanks for your input! Ken

Only when you have Exchange and Windows in Native (http://computerperformance.co.uk/w2k3/w2k3_mixedvnative.htm) mode can you start with the Exchange 2007 deployment.
