I'm working with the corporate lawyer to develop a way to more easily retreive messages when required by a discovery requirement. We are a small company so I looked at archiving services first, but they are surprisingly expensive. Would anybody recommend some mail archiving software. We are privately owned so I have no requirements other than that of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. I supremely thanful I'm not burdened with SOX, HIPAA, etc. Any suggestions would be appreciated. -- Bettie

Cost is not really the issue. I'm looking for the best product to support discovery so I don't have to restore old databases to a lab server and manually extract the mailboxes I'm interested in. Way to time consuming. Also, the older tapes are starting to fade. Going forward I'd like a better approach. -- Bettie "Mark Arnold [MVP]" wrote: > On Fri, 23 Feb 2007 11:31:03 -0800, Bettie Claxton > wrote: > > >I'm working with the corporate lawyer to develop a way to more easily > >retreive messages when required by a discovery requirement. I have been considering this black box solution http://www.arcmailtech.com/defender/specifications/ "Bettie Claxton" wrote in message news:97F27CEA-6613-44CF-A9B0-E4D4602A8764@microsoft.com... > I'm working with the corporate lawyer to develop a way to more easily > retreive messages when required by a discovery requirement. If cash is no object and you want a good solution then either Symantec Enterprise Vault or EAS from Zantaz would be the two to look at. If you have an EMC SAN then their archiving solutions are a good bet.
Symantec Enterprise Vault or EMC's solution is what I would be looking at. Expect to shell out some cash for hardware and software. -- Thanks, Brian Desmond Windows Server MVP - Directory Services www.briandesmond.com "Bettie Claxton" wrote in message news:97F27CEA-6613-44CF-A9B0-E4D4602A8764@microsoft.com... > I'm working with the corporate lawyer to develop a way to more easily > retreive messages when required by a discovery requirement.
