file level restore of .edb and stm
Greetings everyone,
I have a file level backup of my exchange 2003 databases made several
months ago. Is it possible to perform a restore using these files ? Does
exchange files uses tombstones as AD -60 days max...??

Thanks
Darren

Re: file level restore of .edb and stm
Hi,

By file level you mean a backup of the unmounted databases?

It should be possible to copy these files over the existing database files
and have the databases mounted.

Unless you have all transaction logs from the date of the offline backup you
will loose all changes made since the backup.

Before doing the restore you should move all databases and all transaction
logs away from their current location.

Leif
