Permissions inheritance block on Exchange database object
I am getting the critcal error mentioned at the bottom, when you run Exchange
BPA. The environment is Windows 2003 Adv Server(SP1) and Exchange 2003 STD
(SP2).
I have followed the KB 264733 and modified the registry.

What am I missing?
Thanks
P.

Permissions inheritance block on Exchange database object Server: Myserver01
Access control list (ACL) inheritance is blocked for the Exchange database
object (DN: CN=Mailbox Store (Myserver01),CN=First Storage
Group,CN=InformationStore,CN=AD-MICRRH05,CN=Servers,CN=First Administrative
Group,CN=Administrative Groups,CN=MICRRH,CN=Microsoft
Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=xxxx,DC=yyy,DC=zzz). This may cause
mail flow problems, store mounting issues and other service outages. Follow
Microsoft Knowledge Base article KB264733 and use the Active Directory Sites
and Services program to re-enable inheritance on this object.

Re: Permissions inheritance block on Exchange database object
Hi,

The permission inheritance blocking can be removed by using exchange system
manager.

Make sure that this really is what you want. The message you get from exbpa
is a warning - if you don't have any problems you might not want to change
the setting.

A likely reason for this blockage is that you have removed deny for
administrators or that you have added an account permissions at the store
level. This might be added for some good reasons.
