SPAM sorting on the server side ?
hi,

IMF give a SPAM note to incoming SMTP messages but these messages stay
in the inbox until OL starts. when OL starts, it move the emails tagged
as SPAM by IMF in the SPAM folder.

but when you connect via a low speed connection, it's quite a pain to
first download the SPAMs then have OL sort them.

is it possible to have this sort done on the server side instead of the
client side ?

I use Exch2K3/SP2, OL2K3 with cache mode activated in order to have it
sort the SPAMs

TIA,
Pierre.

No, that's not the IMF, that's Outlook. Is the IMF just passing
through, archiving or deleting?

Do the headers rather than full messages.
If you have so many I would suggest that your IMF is set to a lower
number than it should be or isn't working properly.

Unfortunately, you've got the wrong end of the stick so what you think
is a problem isn't actually.

Common misconception.

Re: SPAM sorting on the server side ?
The IMF move to junk is done at the sever not Outlook.

If you see Outlook moving emails to Junk, than that is the Outlook 2003
anti-spam filter. This filter is independent of IMF.

I think you should read this first:

Than maybe post back...
