UNIX sendmail and Exchange2000
Hello all,

Our Exchange box relays mail (System messages) from a unix server via
sendmail, the emails are sent out to users for system updates etc. We're
now in a position that we need users to replay to these mails, and have them
delivered by Exchange to the Uniz sendmail box.......anyone have any ideas
on this, may sound a bit wierd, I can provide more info on request.

Thanks.

Hi,

If the sendmail shares the same SMTP address space you can try this:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;319759

If the sendmail has a different SMTP domain you create a SMTP connector on
the exchange server, configure the smart-host setting to point to the
sendmail server and on the address space tab enter the relevant smtp domain.

Re: UNIX sendmail and Exchange2000
Thanks for the reply Leif,

Do you know where documentation exists regarding setting up an additional
SMTP connector for this purpose.

Thanks, Andrew

Re: UNIX sendmail and Exchange2000
There isn't much to creating SMTP connectors but you could take a look
at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;321721
which will put it into a bit of context for you.
