All, I'm running Exchange 2003 sp2. I have a server that needs to send out notification emails to an internal and external address. The internal user gets the email but the error 550 5.7.1 unable to relay is the error I receive when the server tries to send out externally. I've set up my Exchange server under the "relay restrictions" box under SMTP virtual Server/Access tab to grant relay access to the ip address of the internal server trying to send out the email. What other steps am I missing? Thanks!
Hi, Sounds as if you have configured the server correctly.
